BloomUp is a child-focused parenting support platform designed for families with children ages 0–12. It helps parents stay organized by keeping all child-related information in on place. Parents can manage individual child profiles, track vaccination appointments, and use a calendar to plan school events, activities, and important reminders.

The idea was inspired by the real difficulties parents face in balancing childcare, household budgets, and education while managing work responsibilities. Many existing mobile and web applications focus on a single aspect, such as budgeting, parenting advice, or calendars. This project brings them together into a unified, easy-to-use solution for families.

BloomUp is built around three values that guide every design decision. We focus on simple, supportive experiences that help families stay organized and grow together.
Design
Our logo combines two leaves forming the letter “O”, symbolizing shared growth between parents and children. The rounded shapes reflect spruout and showing trust, while the clean geometry communicates clarity.
BloomUp uses warm, nature-inspired colors that express calm, trust, and optimism.
Primary Teal (#238D88), Evokes reliability and calm focus. Secondary Yellow (#F3BE08): Adds warmth and highlights important elements. Neutral White (#EFEFEF): Provides balance and accessibility.
BloomUp’s UI kit is designed to support a clean, friendly, and family-centered experience. It brings together consistent icons, components, and visual patterns that help parents navigate budgeting, scheduling, and family management with ease.

Avatar Design
For this app, I designed the avatars based on animals you can find in Canada, such as foxes, raccoons, otters, and beavers. Since the avatars are used to replace children’s photos for added safety, I chose a cartoon-style approach.
