Problem Statement: Newcomers, international students, and individuals in Metro Vancouver face isolation and difficulty forming friendships due to shyness, time constraints, cultural differences, and trust issues, per our research.
Solution: Design a platform to connect Metro Vancouver users through shared interests, guided interactions, and privacy-focused features, fostering meaningful friendships.

A design system ensured consistency across Chumlink’s elements. Established uniformity in fonts, sizing, colors, components, buttons, icons, etc. Used Poppins font for its modern, friendly style and good readability. Designed logo with bold typography and dots symbolizing connection and community applied blue and orange colors for trust, energy, and a social vibe.

Defined Social, Trustworthy, User-Friendly adjectives to guide color choices.
Applied color psychology to create a calm, inviting, and reliable experience. Used complementary harmony (e.g., blue-orange) to balance vibrance and trust. Blended individual palettes for a warm, dependable design that fosters connection.
