Naca

Fashion Design & Brand

Woman with laptop

NACA is a unisex, comfortable, and minimalist apparel brand that translates my personal everyday style into a cohesive ready-to-wear collection.

Overview

Born initially as a school project, what started inside a classroom quickly turned into a real, independent brand. I handled everything from the initial design concepts and pattern modifications to manufacturing coordination and direct-to-consumer sales. By managing marketing campaigns with Mexican influencers and running all social media channels, I built NACA into a brand powered entirely by digital community and e-commerce.

The Concept & Inspiration

The brand's identity is deeply rooted in what I love to wear personally: a clean, minimal aesthetic entirely produced in monochrome black. NACA stands for comfort and versatility as a unisex brand, incorporating signature design details like kimono-style sleeves across the garments. I focused on fabrics I genuinely enjoy working with and wearing, such as mesh and techno fabrics, giving the minimalist pieces a modern, edgy twist.

The name comes from my initials: NA for Ana and CA for Carrillo.

What I did

The Concept & Inspiration

  1. Design & Pattern Making: Designed the complete apparel line and modified the custom patterns to achieve the exact oversized, comfortable silhouettes I envisioned.

  2. Production Management: Oversaw the manufacturing process, working closely with a factory based in Monterrey, Mexico, to bring the designs to life.

  3. Marketing & Social Media: Managed all social media platforms and executed organic digital campaigns partnering with Mexican influencers to drive sales.

  4. Sales & Distribution: Handled customer interactions and fulfillment, successfully selling out the collections directly through social media channels.
