Nero
Fashion Design

Nero, Inspired by Japanese fashion and origami structures, I managed the full lifecycle of the project from concept and pattern making to handcrafted construction and complete styling.
Overview
During the COVID-19 lockdown, I was personally contacted by the director of CEDIM to design a mini capsule collection of 5 outfits for an exclusive collaboration with Radness modeling agency. Taking on this project during such a unique time meant managing everything from scratch under tight, unpredictable conditions.

Here is the video the agency posted on YouTube, till the minute 3:05, you can see the collection.
The Concept & Inspiration
The collection is called Nero simply because every single piece is black "nero" means black in Italian, and I wanted something that felt a bit more elevated than just calling it "negro" in Spanish.

Beyond the color palette, the entire collection is heavily inspired by Japanese fashion, a culture and aesthetic that has always deeply influenced my work. I incorporated kimono-style sleeves, and for several pieces, I played with complex paneling and structural cuts directly inspired by origami paper folding.
What I did
The Concept & Inspiration
Design & Pattern Making: I developed the full creative concept and drafted the custom patterns for all 5 looks.
Construction: I sewed and handcrafted every single piece myself, focusing heavily on fit, structure, and clean finishes.
Styling & Direction: I took charge of the complete look for the presentation, selecting the makeup, hair, outfits, and shoes to bring the whole vision together on set.
